Hmmm, it has been a while since the last time we updated this blog. List of reasons but let us just simplify it in one word... BUSY!
Macam lah kau sorang yang sibuk...
The one thing that made us really occupied was our attempt to enter IPCC 2012... What is IPCC? It's a competition organised by MSC Malaysia, short form for Intellectual Property Creators Challenge... It's an annual competition, to find the best idea for Malaysian future animations, video games and interactive comics...
What is it that made you busy anyway? You have your Sayap-Sayap Tanarebt stories already... Just convert la!
That was what we thought at first but the Rules & Regulations state it very clearly - Only new idea that has never been published anywhere in any form before... Shocked but we still proceed :)
After we put some thoughts on it, we decided to enter 1 category only - Animation... but of course with a little twist... educational animation!

Something like Dora The Explorer... ABC Monster Detective...
Huhu, sapolah dok tenguk kartun jenih gitu... Buak la mace Doraemon ko... Sinche ko... Upin Ipin pun jadi ah... Eh, bakpo nyo kawe kecek Kelate nih?
That's the challenge and we kind of liked it... No, loved it! Educational animation series that can be watched by a wider range of viewers. It has to be fun, close to heart and in the same time, educational. Yes, it's hard but not impossible! So, we get back to the drawing board and the rest is just histories... 'Fly Beni, Fly!' was born and here we would like to introduce you the Four Friends - Beni, Aumya, Rodi & Andika.

Pertandingan kan? Keputusan belum keluar lagi...
Yup, but we are okay with the possibilities. What we treasure most is the experience and the learning process... Bukan mudah rupanya nak buat animation... We feel tired (but excited) by just learning the process through online searching :(
But of course, there are more good than bad once we've completed our proposal - Now, we have a totally new story with a set of new characters and full synopsis of 13 episodes ready in our hand. What makes the story more unique, it is taking place at the same location mentioned in the Sayap-Sayap Tanarebt novel - Kota Tiga Jangkang. Separate storyline in the same location makes 'Fly Beni, Fly!" a franchise of 'Sayap-Sayap Tanarebt'... Cool what :)
Eleh, perasan...
We have everything in hand... So if someone doesn't want to open the door for us, we will go to the next door... to the next door... to the next door... until we made it. InsyaAllah :) Arrrr, you know what I mean...
We have submitted the proposal last night. We don't know how far Beni can fly but thank you Allah, for the opportunity...
